We are working with a private property business to appoint a Tenant Ledger Controller to join their finance team on a part-time basis.

This opportunity would suit someone with strong customer service, administration and communication skills who enjoys building relationships, taking ownership of their workload and working as part of a close-knit team. Previous finance experience is not essential, and full training will be provided.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates from hospitality, hotels, leisure, tourism or other customer-facing environments looking to develop a long-term career within property finance.

The Organisation

Our client is a well-established property business with a reputation for delivering a high level of service to its tenants and stakeholders.

Working with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, the business places significant value on professionalism, communication and relationship management.

The successful Tenant Ledger Controller will join a small finance team where each person has ownership of their area of responsibility. The culture is collaborative, supportive and team-focused, with colleagues working closely together to achieve shared goals.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Tenant Ledger Controller will take responsibility for managing tenant accounts, rent collection, credit control activities and general finance administration.

This is not a traditional collections role. The focus is on building rapport with tenants, influencing behaviour through professional communication and maintaining positive relationships whilst ensuring payments are collected promptly.

Key responsibilities include:

* Managing tenant accounts and maintaining accurate records.
* Collecting residential and commercial rent payments.
* Building positive relationships with tenants and resolving payment queries.
* Supporting credit control activities through professional communication.
* Allocating payments and maintaining the tenant ledger.
* Processing invoices and finance administration tasks.
* Assisting with account reconciliations and general finance duties.
* Working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure issues are resolved promptly.
* Supporting the wider finance team as required.

The Skills Required

We are interested in speaking with candidates who can demonstrate:

* Strong communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
* Previous experience in a customer-facing or administrative role.
* The ability to build relationships and influence outcomes positively.
* Emotional intelligence, maturity and sound judgement.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* The ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
* A professional approach when dealing with a high-profile client base.
* Confidence managing multiple priorities effectively.

Finance qualifications are not required.

Previous property experience is not required.

Systems experience is not essential as full training will be provided.

Most importantly, our client is looking for someone with the right attitude, communication style and long-term commitment to the role.

What's on Offer

* Part-time working pattern across Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
* Office-based role with some flexibility for occasional remote working.
* Working hours of either 9:00am - 5:00pm
* Annual salary review process.
* Bonus share scheme.
* Full training and ongoing support.
* Opportunity to build a long-term career within a supportive business.
* Manageable workload within a stable team environment.
