Tom Turner
Principal Consultant, Residential Development & Town Planning

About the Role

Seeking new heights in the planning and development sector?

As a Planner or Assistant Planner (experience dependent), you could maximise your potential for professional growth with unmatched exposure to landmark London projects, the opportunity to liaise with associated high-profile clients and the support of a high-performing team in a league of their own.

In this role you would have the opportunity to manage and assist on a wide variety of projects through multiple Partners; from ultra-modern skyscrapers in central London, to new local landmarks and ground breaking sports stadia in the surrounding boroughs.

The team enjoy regularly working from a stunning central London office and promote a social, collaborative and supportive working environment. This well-established entrepreneurial business operates free from the bureaucracy and slow processes of larger corporates, eager to promote Planners for their commitment to excellence.

In return, you could enjoy a leading compensation package (including discretionary performance related bonus), celebratory company-wide trips abroad and a career path that could open many doors!...

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing major projects and overseeing smaller development management processes, and assisting senior colleagues on more major developments.
  • Cultivating and maintaining client relationships by offering precise advice and effective communication on a regular basis.
  • Managing pre-application tasks and guiding planning applications through the development cycle.
  • Writing representations to local authorities for potential site promotions.

Ideally, you should possess:

  • Minimum 2 years of professional planning experience within consultancy, developer or local planning authority (LPA).
  • A strong skill set and expertise in development management.
  • Ideally working towards your RTPI APC, recently submitted or MRTPI.
  • Excellent written communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities.

In return for your dedication, you will receive a competitive salary and benefits package, ongoing training, and the opportunity to be part of an exceptional team and company that fosters career progression. Here, the focus is on the quality of your work output rather than strict working hours.

Please apply here or give me Tom a call to discuss. My client is looking to find the right candidate as soon as possible - so if in doubt, do get in touch. I also have other clients and roles that may be of interest.

If you do not hear anything back within one week, please assume that you have been unsuccessful on this occasion, but I will retain your details for future roles.

When applying to any role through Cobalt, your CV will never be shared with a client without your prior consent. Apply in confidence below or get in touch with me for a confidential discussion about the position via tturner@cobaltrecruitment.com
