About the Role
This planning consultancy is on the lookout for an experienced Town Planner up to Principal level to join their growing team - Someone who genuinely cares about the places they shape, and who's ready to get involved in a mix of exciting, meaningful projects across Scotland and the UK.
From rural communities to complex city sites, they work across housing, renewables, commercial, and mixed-use schemes - with a focus on quality and collaboration.
No day is ever the same, and they welcome planners who enjoy variety and like getting stuck in.
The role includes:
- Managing planning applications, appeals, and development proposals
- Preparing planning statements, site appraisals, and policy reviews
- Building relationships with clients, councils, communities, and consultants
- Getting involved in both strategic and day-to-day project delivery
- Contributing to business development and new ideas as the team grows
The ideal candidate:
- Has a planning degree and around 1-5 years' experience (private or public sector welcome)
- Understands the Scottish planning system
- Is organised, enthusiastic, and confident working with different people
- Has strong written and verbal communication skills
