About the Role

The Treasury Assistant will benefit from a hybrid working arrangement, with two days per week in the London office and three days working remotely, alongside support for relevant professional development.

The role and responsibilities

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Treasury Assistant will support the day-to-day management and monitoring of investment portfolios, helping to ensure investment activities are undertaken in line with agreed mandates and internal procedures.

The Treasury Assistant's responsibilities will include:

* Reconciling bank accounts, resolving discrepancies and identifying surplus balances for investment.

* Supporting investment research, market analysis and trade recommendations.

* Monitoring portfolio positions and liquidity requirements across portfolios.

* Maintaining relationships with banks, brokers and external counterparties.

* Preparing weekly balances and quarterly cash bridges.

* Assisting with portfolio position and liquidity reports for internal stakeholders and committees.

* Maintaining accurate investment documentation and monitoring files in line with internal procedures.

* Recording minutes and tracking actions from internal meetings, including Investment Committee meetings.

* Responding to stakeholder information requests and ensuring supporting documentation is collated accurately.

* Supporting analysis of the key risks, strengths and weaknesses of financial products within the portfolios.

* Contributing to investment strategy discussions through market monitoring and data analysis.

* Assisting with investment papers, including new investment proposals, analysis reports and routine monitoring reports.

* Supporting due diligence for new strategic investment proposals.

* Supporting senior-level client and investment relationships.

* Contributing to improvements across investment processes and the wider investment function.

* Supporting ad-hoc projects.

* Undertaking continuing professional training.

* Keeping up to date with matters affecting the UK economy, financial news and market developments.

The skills needed and requirements

The successful Treasury Assistant will have a willingness to learn, good communication skills and an interest in real estate. You should also be comfortable working with financial information and engaging with a range of stakeholders.

We are looking for:

* Relevant qualifications and/or experience within a regulated environment, with awareness of FCA requirements.

* A relevant degree, such as finance or economics, and/or progress towards a professional qualification such as IMC, CFA or ACT.

* An interest in real estate investment and a willingness to develop your knowledge of the sector.

* Exposure to, or an interest in, fund selection and due diligence would be advantageous.

* Good attention to detail and analytical skills.

* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including building and maintaining financial models and analysing datasets, alongside working knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications.

* Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively against deadlines.

* Good communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.

* A willingness to learn and continue developing your technical knowledge.
