Accounts Assistant

Accounts Assistant, Full-Time, Permanent, £30,000 Per Annum, Birmingham City Centre

My client is a global and highly reputable commercial real estate agency looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their growing finance team in Birmingham. The main function of the role is to assist the Finance Manager with client reporting and AP key deliverables.

Main duties include:

  • Reviewing of bank reconciliations

  • Dealing with all AP related queries in a timely manner

  • Assisting client accountants with client account reconciliations and month end reporting

  • Reviewing all payment runs as required

  • Preparing client funding deliverables

  • Assisting with cash allocation.

  • Running VAT reports where required

  • Handling all queries from both internal and external stakeholders

  • Liaising with the Credit Control team to clear aged debt balances

  • Monitoring all sub ledger cash balances and prepare client fund transfers

  • Assisting with invoice charge raise processes

  • Ensuring client processes and procedures are followed and updated at all times

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant/AP role within a real estate background ideal but not essential

  • AAT / Graduate / Part Qualified (ACCA / CIMA)

  • Working knowledge of AP & AR processes

  • Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders

  • Intermediate / advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Impeccable written and verbal communication

  • Ensuring accuracy and attention to detail executed at all times
