About the Role

Senior Facilities Manager

Cobalt is working with a leading professional services firm to appoint a newly created position at the heart of their growing operations team.

This is a business that prides itself on people-first leadership and strong values. With multiple offices across the South of England and a reputation for operational excellence, they continue to grow while nurturing a collaborative, inclusive, and respectful working environment.

This is a pivotal role in the Facilities function, acting as the Director's number two and bridging the gap between strategic leadership and on-the-ground delivery. You'll have full operational oversight across five regional offices, manage a dispersed team, and drive improvements in sustainability, compliance, and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the Deputy to the Director of Facilities, stepping in during periods of absence.
  • Lead environmental and sustainability initiatives, including ESG strategy and carbon reduction planning.
  • Chair the Environment Committee and manage reporting on progress and compliance.
  • Line manage two Facilities Supervisors and oversee a team of five Facilities Assistants.
  • Implement and optimise consistent processes across multiple offices.
  • Support all procurement activities and ensure value-for-money across services.
  • Oversee office operations and ensure client-facing and staff areas are well maintained.
  • Manage third-party contractors and uphold all SLA and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate health & safety across the portfolio, supporting with audits, training, and legal compliance.

Essential Requirements

  • Background in facilities management with multi-site team supervision experience preferably from the professional services sector but open to other experiences as well.
  • Extensive knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Exposure to delivering ESG and sustainability strategies in the workplace.
  • IOSH and/or Nebosh essential
