Accounts Payable Manager

An Accounts Payable Specialist is required for a commercial property business who have a core focus and heavy presence in the Logistical Asset space.
This role is ideal for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable professional seeking a challenging role with a focus on customer service and fostering positive relationships.
Responsibilities
Processing Invoices, Expenses & Adjustments:
Efficiently process purchase invoices, expenses, and adjustments, ensuring accurate coding and timely submission for approval through Manhattan
Proactively manage the approval process, following up on unapproved invoices to ensure suppliers are paid within agreed terms.
Handle internal adjustments, CHAPS payments, and refunds on Manhattan.
Payment Runs:
Prepare weekly payment runs for approval and subsequent processing in Manhattan.
Verify payment run audit reports to ensure proper approval of manual inputs.
Dealing with Supplier and Internal Queries:
Act as the main point of contact for supplier queries, providing exceptional customer service and resolving issues promptly.
Proactively pursue supplier credit balances for refunds.
Chase VAT invoices when proforma has been previously paid and assist in the reconciliation of aged supplier balances on the ledger.
General Duties:
Mentor team members using your expertise and experience.
Perform supplier statement reconciliations.
Assist with year-end and interim audits, cooperating with external auditors by providing purchase invoice samples.
Key Requirements
Willingness to be hands-on and support the accounts payable team.
Have previously overseen junior members and signed off on work.
A desire to build and progress a career within the financial services industry.
Some working experience with an accounts payable role is crucial.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and accounting systems
