A leading firm are in search of an Acquisitions Associate to assist in research, valuation and execution of transactions in Western Europe, with focus on France, Germany, and the Benelux. This excellent opportunity allows you to join a growing and highly dynamic City of London-based independent private equity / real estate investment and management business, with an existing pan-European portfolio of assets and active transaction pipeline.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Co-ordinate and complete research and analysis of new investment opportunities, including production of clear commercial analysis; visit potential assets for acquisition and disposals

  • Manage advisers and due diligence work streams during transaction execution; data room review and evaluation

  • Use and refinement of standard transaction models; creation of bespoke models as required; a clear understanding of capital structures, equity waterfall, and financial instruments. Ability to perform complex financial analysis; modelling of financial accounts including p&l, cashflow and balance sheet

  • Managing the valuation process which includes: Coordinating inspections with banks and external valuations, reviewing their reports.

Requirements:

  • Bilingual - French and English

  • Self-motived, highly organised, excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • High level of proficiency in Excel, Word, Powerpoint

  • An entrepreneurial, commercial mind-set and an eagerness to learn; candidates must be capable of handling the demands of working in a self-motivating atmosphere; Personal integrity, proactivity, self-discipline and confidence

  • Quantitative skills including creating and interpreting financial models in Excel
