Cobalt is currently working with a market leading property investment manager to find an Assistant Accountant for their growing finance team. This global brand is expanding their operations. They are branching out into new markets and increasing the range of products they have to offer.

This newly created role would suit someone who is actively studying their ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualifications. The role is broad giving the successful candidate a wide range of experiences as well as exposure to large scale real estate investment.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake book-keeping duties in relation to relevant corporate entities (balance sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals, prepayments)

  • Assist with preparing and monitoring budgets, which will involve business partnering with key individuals

  • Cash flow analysis and forecasting

  • Regularly process payments via oversight of the purchase ledger function

  • Liaise with third parties (banks, lawyers) to facilitate processing of payments and liaise with suppliers to resolve queries

  • Maintenance of intra-group loans and loan interest schedule

  • Maintain cash books

  • Perform bank reconciliations

  • Invoice raising and credit control

  • Prepare annual statutory financial statements

  • Assist with preparation of annual UK tax compliance requirements

  • Prepare UK FCA filing requirements

  • Assist in the interim and year end audits

Requirements:

  • Studying ACA / ACCA / CIMA

  • Degree educated 2.1 or above

  • Previous accounting experience, preferably within real estate or investment management industries

  • Highly organised with good communication skills
