Assistant Building Manager
Slough - Part-time position (2 days a week)
Salary: £30,000 (Pro Rata)
Our client is looking for an Assistant Building Manager to work part-time on their trophy asset in Slough, The building boasts circa 100,000 sq. ft of commercial office space. You'll be joining one of the best names in the industry, with a well-deserved reputation for training and developing market-leading Facilities Management professionals throughout their careers.
This role will be a key part in driving forward a modern FM service throughout a large-scale Grade A development that would stand out on any CV. Due to this, you'll find yourself in a role with plenty of variety - blending hard and soft service management into an unrivaled FM experience for your occupiers.
Key responsibilities will include:
Alongside the Building/General Manager, conducting regular site inspections;
Helping to ensure a comprehensive maintenance programme is in place, including plant upgrade works from time to time;
Helping to ensure full health and safety compliance;
Assisting with the management of the service charge budget;
Managing the works of external suppliers, taking full autonomy over certain services in time;
Assisting with/leading the management of in-house staff within the building;
Building lasting relationships with key stakeholders, foremost of all including your occupiers
Due to the nature and size of this Grade A asset, this role would suit someone with an established base of experience in assisting with managing commercial buildings previously, and someone who is engaging with tenants, and makes customer services one of their top priorities.
An IOSH would be advantageous.
