Cobalt is looking for an Assistant Facilities Manager for a bespoke managing agent, based in the West End. You'll help their established FM team in managing the total facilities provision across a commercial portfolio owned by a household name client who your employer enjoys a long term track record with. Having won a substantial amount of new business over the last year, the company is growing significantly and therefore is looking for an Assistant FM who they can invest in and grow to the position of a full-fledged Facilities Manager in the medium-term. This is therefore an ideal platform to polish your FM experience before taking the next step on the facilities career ladder.
Key responsibilities will include:
Assisting with the management of a portfolio of commercial multi-let offices;
Assisting with the management of third party hard and soft facilities contractors, taken ownership of set service lines;
Conducting site inspections, both alongside your line manager, and independently where necessary and appropriate;
Helping to ensure the effective maintenance of building plant and fabric, having key input into CAPEX projects where they arise;
Assisting with setting and managing service charge budgets;
Working alongside the existing team to ensure all buildings remain complaint with UK health and safety legislation, as well as promoting sustainability wherever possible;
Building strong working relationships with stakeholders including clients and occupiers especially.
Key to your success in this role will be your ability to think outside the box and relationship-building skills, which will give you the necessary tools to deliver a modern total FM experience for occupiers. It is essential that you have worked within the real estate industry previously, managing entire buildings including common parts, whilst an IOSH qualification would be highly advantageous.
