Assistant Management Accountant

Our client, a leading investment business, is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their Group Finance team. This global and well established firm has a wide range of successful investments across Europe and Asia.

Working within an established team there is great scope for personal and professional development within this role

Joining the team in London, the successful candidate will work alongside key members of the group finance and investment teams across EMEA and APAC regions . The candidate will assist in all aspects of financial and management accounting with a clear mapped out route for progression

Responsibilities

  • Month-end and mid-month Group cash reporting
  • Assist with preparation of month-end and mid-month bank reconciliations
  • Assist the team with quarterly VAT return preparation
  • Help the UK team with monthly cash-flow forecasting
  • Purchase Ledger function, processing payments and updating exchange rates within the accounting system
  • Maintenance and analysis of employee AMEX expense accounts and UK disbursements ledger
  • Assist with Balance Sheet reviews and analysis for senior management
  • Sales Ledger, dealing with credit control and liaising with Fund teams
  • Assist the UK team with preparation of annual statutory UK financial statements
  • Data collection by liaising with the fund finance function to ensure year end external audit deliverables are met in a timely manner

Requirements

  • Part Qualified and studying towards ACCA, CIMA
  • Excellent academic record, ideally with 1st/2.1 from a relevant degree
  • Strong inter-personal skills with a keen willingness to develop your skillset
  • Team player with an ability to self motivate with a remote/virtual start.
