Cobalt are currently working with a market leading real estate developer to find an Assistant Management Accountant for their London office. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Manager and assist in delivering accurate project accounts and forecasting to senior management and development teams.

This role would suit someone with experience assisting with management accounts who is actively studying their ACCA / CIMA / ACA. A full study support package is available.

Responsibilities:

  • To ensure project is completely and accurately forecast.

  • To assist in providing accurate and up to date project stacks, and ensure financial paperwork is up to date and complete.

  • To record and review sales, including completing group declarations each week

  • To assist in forecasting project cash flows accurately.

  • To review and report on project Marketing costs.

  • Review pre-development budget.

  • Reconciliation of Purchaser Extras and Sales Incentives

  • Reconciliation and pre approval of agent commission payable and sales legals

  • Site debtors analysis

  • To provide financial reviews on sub-contractors to assist with the approval of package tenders.

  • Provide a link between payables and site for invoice queries and assistance

  • Assist with monthly reconciliation of Technical fees and Build costs, and forecasting thereof

  • To provide assistance with the NEL and Capital budget forecasts

  • To Co-ordinate and complete Group requests.

  • To assist the Management Accounting team with month end deliverables

  • To assist departments in month end reporting

  • To assist with Year-end Audit of the Company

  • To co-ordinate and complete ad-hoc requests from senior management

  • To understand the build process and stages of development

  • To understand the needs of all partners and wider community and help deliver those needs

Requirements:

  • Actively studying ACA / ACCA / CIMA

  • Experience assisting with the preparation of management accounts

  • Experience within real estate, property or construction is desirable

  • Team player, willing to learn and get involved with a wide range of tasks

  • Ability to work on own initiative and generate solutions.
