Associate Director

Cobalt is seeking a leader of the UK FM industry for an Associate Director position, leading the team in managing one of our client's most commercially important portfolio's. You'll be the driving force behind delivering a modern FM service that is fit-for-purpose in a post-pandemic world - blending conventional FM management with a modern focus on sustainability and wellbeing.

Our client is a well-regarded name of the industry, who boasts an enviable list of household-name assets they manage, and is keen to proactively invest in both these properties and their people simultaneously until both are at the pinnacle of the UK Real Estate industry.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Taking responsibility for a portfolio of roughly 80 commercial office and retail properties within the West-End

  • Leading a team of 5-7 Facilities and Building Managers in addition to Assistants and Coordinators - promoting their professional and personal development within the business;

  • Overseeing the effective total facilities management of the buildings within your portfolio, including hard and soft services;

  • Managing the outsourced team of suppliers across a range of hard and soft services, ensuring SLA's and KPI's are adhered to;

  • Liaising with key client representatives, shaping the long-term strategy for providing a top-tier total FM service over the long-term future;

  • Having oversight of service charge budgets within the portfolio;

  • Overseeing major projects on-site including refurbishments, plant upgrades and fit-outs where necessary;

  • Forging strong working relationships with key tenants representatives, ensuring a quality property management service at all times, including oversight of seasonal events where they arise;

  • Ensuring full compliance with UK health and safety legislation;

  • Looking for opportunities to drive forward sustainability where possible throughout your portfolio

Our client is looking for a strong Senior Facilities Manager or Associate Director who wants to challenge the status quo of Facilities Management in 2021. You'll be entrusted with one of our clients major portfolio's and so our client is looking for an individual who has consistently delivered results within a client-facing, portfolio-based role.

An IOSH or NEBOSH is essential, whilst further qualifications (IWFM especially) would be regarded positively.
