Cobalt is seeking the first Building Manager for a brand new commercial development in the heart of Leeds City Centre. With support from the wider FM team, you'll oversee the mobilisation of the property, helping to shape and drive forward a top-tier total FM service combining strong technical skills with a key focus on ESG to ensure this property remains a standout destination in the area.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Working hand-in-glove with the client to deliver on the long-term strategic goals for the property;

  • Drive forward the highest standards of customer service for your tenants, including delivering on placemaking initiatives where possible;

  • Alongside specialists overseeing the mobilization for the property;

  • Leading the on-site team of in-house and 3rd party contracted staff;

  • Taking an active role in procurement and tendering for new suppliers;

  • Setting and managing the service charge budgets;

  • Managing the maintenance of the plant and building fabric, including CAPEX works and fit-outs;

  • Proactively managing risk and ensuring the property remains compliant with UK H&S legislation.

Our client is looking for a forward-thinking Building Manager who can demonstrate a key focus on customer experience within their previous portfolios/properties. An IOSH is essential, whilst NEBOSH or IWFM qualifications are desirable (but not essential). Prior experience managing building upgrades, CAPEX works and fit-outs will give you the necessary base of knowledge to excel within this role.
