Senior Building Surveyor - Bristol

Our client specialises in contract administration and project management of various types of works, including office fit-outs and implementing planned maintenance works, along with professional work, which is predominantly dilapidations, building surveys, Party Walls and Schedules of Condition.

They are looking for a Senior Building Surveyor, MRICS Chartered, who can hit the ground running on their commercial projects. Work will be spread across both professional services and project work.

Remuneration:

£38,000 - £40,000 + car allowance

​

You will sit within the Building Consultancy team undertaking core building surveying disciplines, including contract administration, project management and development monitoring, dilapidations, building pathology, due diligence services, condition surveys, party wall and reinstatement cost assessments.

You must be able to work in a full autonomous capacity in the Building Consultancy team and contribute towards departmental financial performance targets. You must also be prepared to liaise (where appropriate) with other company departments and divisions and represent the company and the full range of property related services available to clients.

Our client is rolling out flexible and remote working for the long-term; with 3 days a week required in the office, and 2 days working from home if desired.

Requirements:

• Member Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)

• Previous building surveying experience within a consultancy

• Computer Literate

• Ability to prioritise conflicting workloads.

• Capable of diligently working alone or as part of a team.

• Understand the structure of a multi-disciplinary firm of surveyors and the services offered.

• Strong numeracy skills.

• Good presentation skills, both written and verbal.

• Good/strong report writing skills.

• Good negotiation skills.
