Business Rates Surveyor (Manchester, Leeds, or Birmingham)

I am representing a global organisation that is looking to expand its Business Rates team across Manchester, Leeds, or Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate, with positions available from Surveyor to Associate Director level, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored rates appeal and mitigation advice to major investor and occupier clients within the retail sector.

• Manage and expand your own client base and caseload, with the opportunity to take on increased responsibility as you gain experience.

• Develop strong business relationships with both new and existing clients.

• Assist and advise developer and landlord clients throughout the development cycle, including deletion/RV appeals, completion notices, and mitigation strategies.

• Prepare procedural documents for Valuation Tribunal cases, including statements of case.

Qualifications:

• In-depth knowledge of the UK retail market.

• Strong understanding of rating legislation and case law.

• Proven experience in providing rating advice and negotiating appeals.

• MRICS qualified.

• Solid general surveying and inspection skills.
