I am working with a Real Estate consultancy, who have expanded their portfolio of properties over the past 12 months, due to their continued success as a business.

They are seeking a Team Leader to oversee Client Accountants and the transactional team members across the Corporate and Property Management aspects of the portfolio. This role requires someone with hands on experience of the accounting process as well as supervision experience. With an extensive, and growing list of clients, this is a fantastic business to join and excel in.

Key Specification

• Leading and ensuring the progression of a team of 5+. Providing assistance with their day to day tasks and ensuring deadlines are met or exceeded to a high standard

• Dealing with escalated queries across all clients and portfolios

• Preparing reports for the clients and liaising directly regarding month and quarter end data where needed

• Implementing new and more efficient practices across the team where possible to improve productivity

• Overseeing the final stage processes of payments to clients

• Raising rent demands across a large number of tenants and subtenants. Ensuring that annual turnover is calculated, allocated and maintained

• Preparing Funds requests to clients

• Ensuring all transactional processes from Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Cashiering are accurate and up to date, so that the general ledger is balanced

• Adhering to RICS accounting standards, with a solid knowledge base of these processes

Personal Specification

• Established written and verbal communication skills

• Confident in leading a team and ensuring that time lines will be effectively maintained

• A 360 degree knowledge of the accounting process across commercial and residential properties

• Tech savvy, with a good understand of Microsoft packages

• Use of a Property Management System, such as TRAMPS, Qube, Yardi, Horizon, MRI advantages
