Our client is a niche and collaborative business looking to recruit several new hires due to substantial growth and an excellent pipeline of works secured.

Established in 2010 and specialising in the healthcare sector, they work in partnership with national government healthcare departments, the private sector and building contractors, predominantly covering London and the Home Counties.

As a direct result of their ambitious growth plans, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team, reporting to the Cost Management Director.

The successful Quantity Surveyor will be given the opportunity to be involved with diverse and challenging, multi-million-pound projects including refurbishments, conversions and brand new departments from conception to completion.

The client is looking for hardworking people. Healthcare project experience is not essential as training, support and mentorship will be given in this area, however good knowledge, and previous experience on medium to large scale construction projects is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide cost information to support decision making

  • Evaluate contractor invoices prior to submission for approval

  • Evaluate and analyse fee proposals / bids and provide recommendation for decision making

  • Help ensure that commercial processes are adhered to across the business unit and actively seek to improve processes and procedures

  • Establish friendly, professional, and appropriate relationships with clients, colleagues and other parties involved in the projects and programmes we support

  • Proactively providing sound commercial knowledge and support to all stakeholders

  • Maintain and manage cost reports

  • Assist in the development, validation, and maintenance of the project schedule

  • Assist in developing reporting tracking tools and generates monthly cost reports

  • Support the coordination of the Change Management process

  • Reconcile data to support complete accuracy and clean audit trail
