Cobalt is thrilled to again be working with a huge international property group who is looking for Credit Controller to join their team in Birmingham.

A small insight to your main responsibilities as a Credit Controller will be managing the recovery of arrears and performing to the best of your ability to upkeep the tenant liaison regarding outstanding debts. Whilst also building strong relationships with the various high profile tennants, so you will need to be a dedicated and confident communicator!

Duties:

• Ensuring your keeping on top of your disputes to your tenants and/or complaints with your surveyors and client accounts.

• Handle all communications with tenants about their agreed actions in order to clear outstanding arrears.

• Whilst keeping to the recovery policies you will be chasing arrears on behalf of clients.

• Resolving tenant statements.

• Communicating with your surveyors, so they process the clients and tenant arrears.

• Follow repayments against agreed payment plans, if any problems occur you will have to alert surveyors and client accountants.

• Preparing monthly credit control reports and aged debtor analysis.

• Provide support when needed with the cash receipts during peak periods.

• Present tenants with copies of any missing documentation.

Personal Attributes:

• Previous experience within the real estate sector would be a bonus but not essential.

• Highly accurate with your numeracy.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Previous experience in a credit control or rent control role.

• Credit control and debt management qualification or part qualification is an advantage!

• Ability to work to tight deadlines.

• Confident communicator.

• Consistent with your workflow to remain highly focused.

• Good skills in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
