Development Manager - Student Accommodation Property Company

Cobalt Recruitment has the pleasure of working exclusively with a Student-Living focused, Property and Development Company based in London with assets in 23 cities across the UK. With an impressive history over the last 20 years, this business works with the leading universities and has ambitious plans of 30% growth year on year and with further funding in place are looking to hire a talented, Delivery focused Development Manager with solid knowledge development feasibility and due diligence.

Reporting into the Development Director the successful DM will deliver the full life-cycle development process of a mixture of new build, conversion and extensive refurbishment projects from inception through to practical completion, valued up to £8million construction cost; working closely with the Acquisitions and commercial team. You will be tasked with maximising value from sites through feasibility, procurement, tender, contractor management, cost management and on-site delivery. We are looking for a person who will take control and be the point of contact to put forward the questions required to interrogate costs and project plans from a client, investor and end-user perspective.

Requirements:

• Professional Qualifications - RICS (preferable)

• Degree qualified; Real Estate, Quantity Surveying, Project or Construction Management

• At least 5-8 years' experience in property development with experience on comparable residential real estate

• Extensive experience and proficiency in managing developments from acquisition through to project completion

• Excellent communication

• Proactive, committed and enthusiastic approach

Remuneration:

Base Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 pa (negotiable)

Bonus + Benefits: Discretionary
