Cobalt is delighted to be working with Harworth Estates as they look to bring on board a Development Planner to support assist in the delivery of key strategic sites across Yorkshire and Central England.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Planner to join a leading and property regeneration company that creates sustainable places for people across the UK to live and work. The sites you will bring forward are often of national economic significance with Harworth Group owning and managing over 15,000 acres across the North of England and the Midlands.
Working closely with a Planning Manager the Development Planner will be predominantly tasked with evaluating new acquisition opportunities and promoting sites through the planning process to add value to the Harworth Group's land portfolio. Additional responsibilities include:
Project managing new and existing development schemes through the planning process
Instructing and co-ordinate input from consultant teams to enhance the value of opportunities and secure marketable sites
Undertaking proactive planning research to identify new development opportunities
Attend meeting and consultation events with landowners, Local Planning Authorities, Parish & Town Councils and other stakeholders.
It is essential that you have an academic background in Planning (undergraduate and/or postgraduate), have demonstrable experience in strategic planning across either the private or public sector and are actively working towards submission of your APC or are already a Chartered Planner.
Strong communication skills are you required as you will form part of a wider team within Harworth Group to bring forward sites for development and will be tasked with engaging with landowners, Planning Officers and other stakeholders throughout the planning process.
