We are partnered with a successful property consultancy to recruit into their development consultancy team, to help grow their team in due to an increased workload. The business is focused on London and the South East, and is a high-performing and fast-paced environment, in which ambitious Surveyors will succeed. They have an excellent track record with both private and public sector clients across all disciplines and have gone from strength to strength through the last few years, growing. The company works with PLCs, SMEs, RPs and local authorities working on: viability advice, s106/CIL obligations, feasibility studies, analysis, development agency and residential valuations.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a medium-sized team working on challenging projects, working closely with insightful colleagues as well as industry-leading Directors, who are hands on and involved in every project. They are a small and friendly team of professionals with an enviable and proven track record of supporting and developing their staff into senior property professionals with strong reputations.

Given the amount of work they have at the moment, they are open to level and whether they bring one or two new candidates in, either fresh out of University or up to MRICS-level.

Your responsibilities will include:

Working on development consultancy across the public and private sectors

· Public sector procurement, compulsory purchase and land assembly advice on town centre and estate regeneration projects

· Working on projects across property classes and at every stage from initial strategy formulation, master planning and feasibility studies through to funding and delivery

· Undertaking development appraisals and financial modelling

· Providing valuations advice

· Preparing business cases

· Preparing fee proposals and tenders

· Assisting with transactions and agency work

· Liaising with clients and other consultants, such as planners and architects

Ideally you will:

· Be MRICS or keen to become RICS qualified (depending on level!)

· For the Surveyor level, have at least two years industry experience, in consultancy, client side or in a local authority

· For the Assistant level, have a RICS accredited degree and an interest in development surveying, ideally with some work experience

· Be adept at using Argus and Excel

· Strong property understanding across the wider sector including planning

· Be an excellent communicator with good technical and writing skills

This really is a brilliant opportunity and will be a springboard forward in your career. You will be much closer to clients than in many larger practices and be challenged daily to progress your career ahead.

Please apply here or give me (Kate) a call to discuss. My client is looking to find the right candidate as soon as possible - so if in doubt, do get in touch. I also have other clients and roles that may be of interest.

If you do not hear anything back within one week, please assume that you have been unsuccessful on this occasion, but I will retain your details for future roles.
