Our client, a leading brand in real estate, is seeking an Estate Manager to oversee the management of the public realm within this development. This includes managing landscaping, security, and cleanliness to ensure a welcoming and well-maintained environment for residents, workers, and visitors.
This prestigious new mixed-use development in South London features a blend of residential and commercial plots along with extensive public spaces. The project, set to be fully completed by July 2026, includes a significant public realm component that is part of a larger urban regeneration initiative.
Key Responsibilities:
- Public Realm Management: Oversee all aspects of the public realm, including landscaping, cleanliness, and security.
- Team Management: Lead and manage a dedicated team, including security personnel, landscapers, and cleaners.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate with various stakeholders, including plot owners, developers, and the public realm management team.
- Operational Oversight: Ensure efficient and effective day-to-day operations of the public areas.
- Health & Safety: Implement and monitor health and safety standards across the public realm.
- Budget Management: Manage the estate's budget, ensuring all services are delivered within financial constraints.
- Community Relations: Foster positive relationships with the local community and stakeholders to enhance the public realm experience.
- Incident Management: Respond to and manage incidents and emergencies within the public realm.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience: Proven experience in estate management, facilities management, or a similar role within a large mixed-use development.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and contractors.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with health and safety regulations, and property management best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: A degree in Estate Management, Facilities Management, Property Management, or a related field.
- Certifications: Relevant professional certifications (e.g., IOSH, IWFM).
