Facilities Manager

Our client, a privately owned property company is looking for an additional Facilities Manager to join their already established facilities team based in Manchester.

This is a multi-site role where you will be managing 10-15 mixed use commercial properties across the city and Greater Manchester area.

In this role you will have complete autonomy over your diary as well as flexible working.

Responsibilities:

• Reporting into the Director of Facilities

• Leading on Health & Safety for your sites, making sure that all the buildings have up to date risk assessments for Water/Fire/Asbestos/Health and Safety.

• Making sure any hazards highlighted in these risk assessments are addressed or have a trail for any outstanding issues.

• Undertake weekly inspections of each of the properties to report and address further health and safety items.

• Report all issues to the site surveyor.

• Provide ideas and initiatives to the site that may enhance the properties.

• Mange all contractors but keeping up with KPI's.

• Inspect work of contractors and keep daily interactions with them.

• Ensure up to date contracts are in place for all services with accurate costings and specification of works.

• Have control over budgets while also proving and presenting the draft budget to site surveyors in a timely manner.

• Ensure all statutory compliance works are carried out with the relevant documentation in place.

• Ensure all administration is in order and be a point of contact for all tenants and contractors.

• Raise and place orders with contractors for planned and reactive works.

• Ensure relevant H&S documentation is in place and certified by the H&S department prior to any works being carried out.

• Code and authorise all invoices relating to works on your properties.

• Liaise with all building managers at the sites to make sure the buildings are running smoothly

• Overseeing projects and working with the tenants to orchestrate these works.
