Cobalt is working in conjunction with a premier name in global real estate who, having won a substantial amount of business in the Midlands, is looking to hire a brand new Facilities Manager to take on a portfolio of c.5 properties in the region. Having taken on new properties, rather than adding to the workload of their existing Facilities Managers, my client has created a new position to both keep a strong work-life-balance for the team, and also to offer the platform for a Facilities Manager to solidify and develop their FM experience within an industry-leading property company.
Key responsibilities within this home based role include:
Assisting with the setting and management of service charge budget;
Conducting regular site visits/inspections of the portfolio;
Managing the work of external contractors for both hard and soft FM suppliers, assisting the Senior FM with tenders/procurement work where appropriate;
Managing the planned and reactive maintenance works for building plant and fabric throughout the portfolio, whilst assisting with any necessary CAPEX works that may take place;
Ensuring full H&S compliance with UK legislation.
Our client views this role as a solid platform to offer an ambitious Facilities Manager who wants to develop their experience within the sector. Previous FM experience, ideally across a portfolio is essential, but assistants stepping up into a role would be considered. An IOSH qualification is essential as is a full UK drivers licence and access to a vehicle.
