Cobalt are working with a leading real estate developer, currently seeking a Finance Business Partner to join their highly successful finance team. Working specifically with the live developments, you will be tasked with being a key point of contact to all key stakeholders/ shareholders, as well as presenting regular information to the board.

You will also get heavily involved in finance modelling for future opportunities within the business.

key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the financial reporting for a portfolio of developments to a variety of stakeholders both internal and external

  • Management of financial and cashflow forecast models, based on accurate operational information and challenging the respective operational teams

  • Support quarterly project budget review and report on the impact on project's financial key performance indicators

  • Preparation of quarterly reporting packs to our Banks and their Project Monitors, managing the communication process and effectively dealing with questions and challenges

  • Ensuring compliance by the project teams with our funding agreements obligations, including timely entry into correct form of contract and facilitating funder approvals where necessary

  • Attend regular on site project team meetings, assisting team with financial information and holding them accountable to compliance responsibilities

  • Monthly Management Accounts commentary on the performance of your portfolio of projects for inclusion in the Board Report

  • Support the wider business on ad-hoc analysis and research as required

  • Build and maintain strong business partnering relationships across a range of stakeholders

Key requirements

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) qualified

  • Experience working within real estate, private equity, investment management in a similar role

  • Strong excel skills

  • Ability to be flexible with multiple stakeholder requests and escalate commercial decisions where appropriate

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
