Cobalt are working closely with an impressive specialist Design and Fit out business in the search for a knowledgeable and hands on Head of Finance.
This well established business of over 15 years has seen a sharp increase in growth over the last few years, with revenue, headcount and profits all moving in a very positive direction.
Given the fast growth, the owner of the business is looking for an ambitious Finance Director/Head of Finance to come into the business to establish and improve the financial controls, operations and help guide the business through the further planned growth in the short to medium term.
This makes the position an exciting opportunity for a finance professional to lead a fast growing business through the exciting and challenging changes that come with this level of growth.
Within this role you will take responsibility for:
Work with and assist the owners in growing the business making sure the financial operations and procedures can sustain the planned growth of the business
Hands on Monthly, Quarterly and Annual management accounting and financial reporting
Preparation of statutory annual financial statements and control of the year‐end audit process within a striFDt time-frames.
Prepare supporting schedules to the financial statements
Liaise with the external auditors and handle audit queries
Design and implementation of workflow processes and procedures
Work closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
Candidates must demonstrate:
Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA preferred) with proven knowledge of working owner managed businesses
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to design and implement new procedures and controls from scratch
Knowledge financing options for small businesses would be ideal
Working knowledge within SMEs highly desirable.
