Cobalt are seeking a Financial & Management Accountant to join one of Real Estate's best known investors/ developers. You will be tasked with business partnering a wide variety of business functions, as well as taking responsibility for all the statutory reporting for both the subsidiary and joint venture companies.

Not only will this role give access to some of the most senior stakeholders within the business, you will also be tasked with implementing new financial initiatives company wide to ensure all processes are completed to a high standard.

Working alongside the Head of Statutory reporting, Head of Group Reporting & Financial Controller, duties include (but not limited to):

  • Production of statutory accounts for subsidiary and joint venture companies. This will include internal liaison (tax department, company secretariat, rent accounts, service charges) and external liaison (auditors)

  • Assisting in the preparation of the final accounts for the Group, taking a lead role in producing the notes for which the team are responsible

  • Assisting in the completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations

  • To be familiar with and keep abreast of latest accounting requirements / standards and company law and apply as necessary to the Group's financial reporting

  • Assisting in other financial accounting work as required in conjunction with other Finance departments such as quarterly management accounts

  • Contributing towards the department's filing, record maintenance and internal control procedures

  • Undertaking ad-hoc accounting projects and special reviews as required

  • Assisting in the preparation of the monthly intercompany interest / management charge

Experience Required:

  • Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA

  • Good understanding of IFRS & UK GAAP

  • Strong Excel and Word skills

  • Experience of producing statutory accounts

  • Ability to deliver quality work to tight deadlines
