We are currently looking for a standout General Manager who relishes the opportunity to lead a key client relationship across a small cluster of high-end properties in the West End. This role will see you working in strategic partnership with the client as they look to invest even further in 3 of their commercial office developments to ensure they remain a beacon of sustainability and community engagement. You'll be providing leadership and guidance to two dedicated Assistant Facilities Managers along the way, providing you with both support and the opportunity to develop and mentor in your own image.

The assets are undergoing significant investment to ensure they remain fit for the purpose of bringing together their commercial tenants into an engaging community atmosphere, fostering collaboration and sustainability. As such you'll oversee a number of CAPEX works, and take a leading role in enhancing the customer experience within the properties, including numerous events on-site.

Key responsibilities will be:

  • Managing the day-to-day operations across 3 commercial office developments in the West-End, working alongside the client to set and execute the long-term strategy for their management;

  • Setting and managing the service charge budget on-site;

  • Leading and developing two Assistant Facilities Managers, each based at one of the 3 sites permanently and deputising for you in your absence;

  • Managing the physical assets including plant and fabric, as well as an array of planned CAPEX works and building upgrades;

  • Managing the work of external suppliers for both hard and soft services;

  • Ensure the building remains fully compliant with UK H&S legislation, proactively managing risk;

  • Looking for ways to enhance sustainability where possible

  • Building relationships with your tenants, looking for ways to enhance occupier experience on-site, including overseeing a variety of events throughout the year at your discretion.

Our client is seeking an individual with a track record in managing commercial office buildings, who can demonstrate a key focus on ESG and customer engagement alongside a strong command of the technical services. An IOSH or NEBOSH is essential, whilst prior experience in managing a team directly would be beneficial.
