Cobalt is delighted to be working alongside one of the standout names in UK Real Estate, as they look to hire a General Manager for an illustrious mixed-use estate. Steeped in history, this commercially-led estate is made up of multi-let office buildings, retail properties, with a number of residential penthouses, all housed in a bustling area of Central London. With plenty of proactive investment planned, our client is looking for someone hands-on, who can impart a strategic vision to provide a first-class customer experience throughout the estate, leading a team, and challenging the conventional wisdom of "we've always done it that way" to provide a top tier total FM service.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing the on-site team including an Estate Manager, Assistant FM, and subcontracted staff;

• Building lasting relationships with stakeholders including the landlord, colleagues, customers, and contractors;

• Ensuring a proactive maintenance programme is in place for the building plant and fabric;

• Overseeing CAPEX works such as plant upgrades where necessary;

• Ensuring full health & safety compliance on-site;

• Setting and managing service charge budgets on-site.

Our client is seeking an individual who is looking to build upon their existing track record with commercial property, by taking on a landmark estate that they can take to new heights. An emotionally-intelligent leader, you'll be confident in liaising with a variety of stakeholders to build longstanding professional relationships, whilst having a solid foundation of maintenance & health and safety knowledge, supported by an IOSH or NEBOSH qualification for the latter.
