As a member of the Credit Committee, the successful candidate will lead the team responsible for mainstream underwriting of all deals and take ownership and responsibility for underwriting and managing loan applications. The role can be either London or Manchester based.
Key Responsibilities:
To manage the team of Underwriters via monthly 1:1s and 6-monthly performance reviews.
To underwrite credit applications that come within the delegated authority of Credit & Underwriting.
To understand and analyse key items for assessing credit risk, such as business & development appraisals, valuation reports, legal due diligence, credit searches and financial statements.
To complete and/or assist with the professional and comprehensive compilation of credit applications.
Requirements:
Extensive experience in underwriting Bridging Finance transactions.
Excellent market and technical knowledge.
Previous experience of line management responsibilities.
Excellent planning & organisational skills.
