Band 8b - Fixed Term Contract

£58,972 to £68,525 a year per annum

Cobalt recruitment are working with an NHS Trust based in Merseyside on a Fixed Term contract for 6 months.

The successful candidate will be leading the finance team, overseeing financial operations, regulatory compliance, and financial sustainability. The role includes managing both management and financial accounts functions and will need to contribute to health care sector, supporting Trust's mission for high-quality services. You will lead initiatives for financial efficiency and effectiveness, impacting patient care

The ideal candidate will have strong finance experience and have worked previously within NHS organisation. The post holder should hold a CCAB qualification (fully) and worked to a senior level within financial management.

Job Summary

• Manage and oversee the Trust's finance function.

• Ensure high-quality information and support for Directors, Managers, and Clinicians

• Oversee treasury management, ledger services, asset management, and external financial reporting.

• Ensure financial control systems provide proper resource stewardship and compliance with accounting standards.

• Provide expert advice on external accounting reporting requirements and treasury management.

• Advise the Chief Finance Officer and other Directors on financial technical aspects and policy changes.

• Maintain financial information for SLAs and contract monitoring.

• Manage shared services arrangements (AP/AR/Ledger, payroll, audit, lease cars) to ensure high-quality services.
