Head of Portfolio Management - Infrastructure

Our client is a highly regarded and international asset manager. Having been established for a number of years with a strong financial backing, they have built a multibillion dollar portfolio of assets across a number of markets including power, energy, utilities and telecommunications to name a few.

As the business continues to regularly invest, there is a need to hire a German-speaking Head of Portfolio Management to take full responsibility for the portfolio and ensuring it performs in line with expectations. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior infrastructure professional to join a leading infrastructure team where you will take full responsibility for a multibillion dollar portfolio of assets.

The Head of Portfolio Management will;

  • Report directly to the CEO of the Infrastructure business whilst overseeing a small team of Portfolio Managers.

  • Take responsibility for the performance of the portfolio, ensuring it creates returns inline with shareholder's expectations.

  • Work closely with the Investment Team to on board the assets to the portfolio.

  • Oversee the team to conduct portfolio monitoring, analysis, quarterly valuation processes, creating reports and giving presentations to the Investment Committee along with your recommendations.

  • Conduct risk analysis and develop strategies to mitigate the risk to both individual assets and the portfolio.

Interested candidates must;

  • Be currently sitting a portfolio management position within an infrastructure fund with people management responsibility.

  • Have an in-depth understanding of the European infrastructure market.

  • Demonstrate excellent problem solving abilities with a strategic mindset.

  • Have a good understanding of tax regulations across Europe.

  • Posses a very strong technical and analytical skill set.

  • Be fluent in English and German.

  • Hold a finance, business, mathematical or equivalent degree from a highly regarded university and whilst not necessary, CFA or CAIA qualified is preferred.

  • Have excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management both internally and externally.

  • Be highly motivated and a self starter.
