As a Graduate PQS Consultant, you will receive comprehensive training and mentorship while gaining hands-on experience in providing cost management and quantity surveying services across a diverse range of construction projects. About the role

As a Graduate PQS, you may take on the following tasks:

  • Learning and Development: Engage in structured training programs and on-the-job learning experiences to develop fundamental skills in cost estimation, quantity takeoffs, and project cost management.

  • Supportive Role: Assist Senior Quantity Surveyors in preparing cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation under their guidance and supervision.

  • Data Analysis: Collaborate with project teams to analyse project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to extract necessary information for cost estimation and quantity takeoffs.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and documentation related to cost analysis, budget tracking, and project progress updates.

  • Client Interaction: Shadow experienced consultants in client meetings and site visits to observe communication practices, client interactions, and project requirements gathering.

  • Software Proficiency: Develop proficiency in cost estimation software, MS Excel, and other relevant tools through hands-on training and practical application.

  • Compliance Awareness: Gain awareness of industry regulations, construction contracts, and procurement methods to ensure compliance with legal and contractual obligations.

About you

To successfully apply for this role, you will need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.

  • Ideally, you will have a minimum of 3 years experience in a PQS role

  • Strong academic background with a passion for pursuing a career in quantity surveying and construction cost management.

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Eagerness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (particularly Excel).

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute positively to project objectives.
