Operations Manager

Cobalt has been appointed to source an Operations Manager for a high-end luxury mixed use estate of commercial office, leisure and residential facilities in Central London. This hire will exclusively take charge of the commercial aspects of this illustrious development, mobilising the site in order to provide a first-class FM service befitting properties of this nature. Our client is an established brand in UK Real Estate who has never been afraid to challenge the status quo of UK property, and has since grown their UK management portfolio to over £10bn in size, and will look to continue that growth by investing in hiring the top-talent in the Facilities, Estates, and Building Management market going forward.

Key responsibilities for this hire will include:

• Working alongside the Head of Estate to create a coherent and comprehensive management strategy for the wider development;

• Leading the provision for the management of the commercial elements of this estate;

• Mobilising the commercial aspects including procuring service providers, ensuring systems and services are set up to provide a quality FM service, and assisting with building the internal management team;

• Ensuring plant works in accordance with the design, as well as overseeing the snagging process for the development;

• Setting and managing service charge budgets in conjunction with the Head of Estate;

• Developing emergency and contingency plans for the estate.

Our client is looking for someone with a good technical/engineering knowledge, ideally in managing mixed-use schemes previously. You will be able to demonstrate tangible experience in implementing and creating new procedures/mobilising new properties, and will have had experience in leading both in-house and outsourced teams previously. An IOSH qualification is essential as a minimum.
