People Operations Partner - Employee Relations

Are you an experienced HR Advisor looking to take the next step up in your career?
I am so pleased to be working with a London-based, leading student accommodation provider. They have a large portfolio of properties across Central London and are continuing their expansion this year. They are currently looking for an experienced People Partner to support their passionate and hardworking team, whilst providing practical ER support to Managers across the business.
Key responsibilities;
Managing full employee case management, whilst overseeing company wide employee relations processes: Disciplinary, Capability/performance management, Grievances, Investigations, Flexible Working Requests, absence management.
Involvement in coaching managers on the various stages of formal sanctions, including providing scripts and explanations, and how to prepare evidence ahead of investigatory reports.
Coaching managers on how to best handle formal processes; creating user friendly, engaging content for training material.
Take advice from external legal providers as required, to protect the companies' reputation and to reduce the companies' risk and liability.
Regularly meeting with managers across the business to understand any employee challenges; providing them with relevant solutions for employee performance issues.
Attending company property team meetings, contributing with updates from the People Team
Working alongside the People Team Administrator to prepare the monthly payroll - creating the payroll instruction; running the overtime report; checking sickness absence calculations; reviewing the payroll reports, and then reviewing over this with the People Operations Manager.
Provide accurate people-related data and reporting - this includes taking a proactive approach with the data that they have, ensuring that they effectively monitor any trends which may require your support.
Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement, recommending enhancements and ways to implement these smoothly, to the People Operations Manager.
Skills required;
Minimum qualification requirements: CIPD Level 5 qualification.
Have a minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience working within an ER role.
Have previous experience dealing with complex employee relation cases and be able to show a good understanding of employment law.
Have experience applying commercial employment law into work-situations, remaining in line with company policies.
Fully conversant in data manipulation; HR metrics and analysis.
Tech-savvy with a good understanding of HRIS and reporting functionality; creative software knowledge would be beneficial.
Fully conversant with the Microsoft Suite.
