Portfolio Manager
Based Manchester
Up to £42,000 + 20% bonus
My client, a rapidly expanding and award-winning student housing business operating across the UK, is seeking an exceptional candidate to lead the letting, management and customer service operations across their North West portfolio. The company finds, buys, refurbishes, lets and manages high quality student houses and flats on behalf of its investors. The whole process is managed in-house to ensure high brand standards across the portfolio with a focus on customer service and tenant enjoyment. Having raised over £200m of equity and with another £300m of dry powder to fuel future fast growth, this is the first national brand giving second and third-year students a safe, reliable and exciting choice to rent their first home. Responsibilities
Oversee the lettings and property management of the portfolio
Hit or exceed targets and work to set budgets
Ensure properties are marketed to a high standard
Manage agent network to achieve targets
Ensure compliance across portfolio and strengthen adherence to existing processes
Prepare financial and operational reports
Lead performance improvement projects
Handle complaints efficiently and in a cost-effective manner
Competitor analysis and market reporting
Manage annual summer handover process, planning and delivery
Manage new acquisitions into management system
Requirements
ARLA highly desirable
People management and leadership qualities
Experience with management of budgets
Provision of excellent customer service from enquiry to end of tenancy
Ability to prioritise a high volume workload and multiple projects
Strong organisational, admin and IT skills
HMO and/or student housing background desirable
Driving licence essential
Flexibility to work 5 weekends per year in the busy periods (days back in lieu)
