Property Accountant
London - Hybrid
£50,000 - £60,000 DOE
Cobalt is partnering with one of the most renowned Property Companies in the UK. The business owns, manages, and develops the properties in their portfolio which consists of Commercial and Residential properties.
The business is looking for a Property Accountant who has experience covering the full Service Charge process and understand the RICS Service Charge guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in maintaining complex service charge estates.
Prepare service charge budgets and calculate service charges for tenants.
Review service charge expenditures, investigate budget variances, and request forecasting adjustments when necessary. Present service charge data at budget meetings with budget holders.
Handle year-end reconciliation process.
Assist in developing systems and automating processes for estate service charges.
Review and reconcile Tenant Recovery & Landlord Recovery accounts monthly.
Liaise with Management Accounts/Financial Accounts on group reporting, financial statements, and external audits.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts quarterly and assist the Financial Controller in presenting financial results to Group Finance on a quarterly basis.
About You
Experience and knowledge of Service Charge Processes
ACCA/ACA qualification is desirable
Experience and knowledge of a Property Accounting Software such as Yardi/Tramps/Qube
Ability to analyse and interpret data
Strong Excel skills
