Purchase Ledger Manager

Ledger Manager, Full-Time, Permanent, Altrincham, £28,000 Per Annum

My client is a national residential property management company who are looking for a Ledger Manager to join their growing team in Altrincham. The main function of the role will be to ensure the Accounting function has an excellent foundation.

Main duties include:

  • The management of all aspects of purchase ledger

  • Responsibility for all account maintenance

  • Cash-book processing

  • Having responsibility for the Accounts email inbox and dealing with all queries within the appropriate timescale

  • Management of utility billing and tracking of meters.

  • Ensuring all invoices are correctly authorized and allocated to the correct cost centre

  • Maintaining purchase orders and ensuring invoices are correctly matched

  • Fortnightly payment runs working closely with Property Managers to advise of supplier account status

  • Monitoring fund availability to facilitate supplier payment runs

  • First point of contact for all supplier queries and maintaining supplier relationships.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in a finance role for a fast-growing SME for at least 3 years or within the real estate industry

  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective written and verbal communication.

  • Approachable manner than encourages interaction with others.

  • Ability to prioritize own workload and work independently

  • Good systems experience (previous experience using Qube PM would be ideal)

  • AAT Qualification or working towards this.

  • Solid working knowledge of Excel
