One of the largest and most respected agencies in the UK are looking for a Senior Property Manager (AST) to oversee a team of property managers as well as their own prime portfolio. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced, ARLA Qualified Property Manager looking to lead with a prestigious organization. What You Will Doing:

Principally responsible for the effective management and on-going coaching of a team of Property Managers, whilst simultaneously managing your own property portfolio.

Team Management:

  • Assist with induction process and provide comprehensive training to new starters on all systems

  • Day to day management of the team, fielding queries and problem solving on the go

  • Guide and coach the team, in line with department KPIs and relevant compliance procedures

  • Conduct monthly 121's, weekly catch-ups, annual appraisals, actively contribute to individuals' development

  • Handle and resolve complaints, escalate to Head of Property Management where appropriate

  • Contribute ideas towards new processes

  • Communicate news and updates from Head of Property Management to team of Property Managers

  • Collaborate closely with other Regional Property Managers to maintain a positive office culture

Property Management - own portfolio:

  • Facilitate pre-tenancy works for property portfolio

  • Oversee works required pre and post tenancies

  • Organise property visits twice a year and action findings accordingly

  • Oversee routine and emergency maintenance

  • Coordinate and oversee any refurbishment projects

  • Request funds from landlords to ensure works can be carried out

  • Pay recurring charges on behalf of landlords and contractor invoices

  • Review check-out reports and facilitate deposit negotiations between landlords and tenants

  • Liaise with the Tenancy Deposit Scheme


You Will Be:

  • Minimum five years property management experience

  • Ideally three years' experience managing others

  • Basic knowledge of heating and hot water system, plumbing and electrical

  • Experience of client management

  • ARLA qualified

  • Possess a high level of initiative and must be comfortable working autonomously or as part of a team

  • The ability to successfully lead a team

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • To keep up-to-date with legislation changes
