Bedford - Area Residential Surveyor - **Flat 8-10% commission**

Cobalt Recruitment is pleased to be representing a reputable mid-sized independent estate agency services firm who have been established for over 100 years.

Historically they have carried out a large amount of private work backed up by panel and corporate work. Due to Covid-19 complications they decided to double down on private work which has paid dividends, they are now in the position were the panels are back but they are having to turn work away due to high volumes of private work. Naturally this has proven lucrative for the company and its surveyors.

They carry out a wide range of work, depending on your preferences and experience including homebuyers, mortgage valuations, building surveys, land surveys and expert witness reports.

They have a family/low stress approach with their surveying team and have a feel-good feeling that I have not seen with other surveying firms I have met. They have their own admin team to take care of the administration side of the job freeing up time for the surveyors. They understand that some surveyors wish to carry out four points per day and some wish to do seven, either way in most instances they will do their best to accommodate.

Benefits -

  • Basic Salary - £43,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience - OTE £50,000 - £80,000 plus

  • Car Allowance £4,500 per annum

  • Commission of 8-10% of net billings, paid monthly - Also commission on any business that you refer that crosses departments. No thresholds or sliding scales.

  • Payment of any subscription fees and pension scheme

  • Payment of private healthcare

  • Monthly breakfast meetings with your area manager

Requirements -

  • MRICS, AssocRICS, MCIOB along with VRS certification

  • Drivers licence

  • Relevant experience with carrying out reports
