Senior Client Accountant

Senior Client Accountant, Permanent, Full-Time, Manchester, £30,000 - £32,000 Per Annum

I am currently working with a global leader in commercial real estate services who are looking for a Senior Client Accountant to join their team in Manchester.

Main duties will include:

• Working with and supporting the Senior Service Charge Accountancy team

• Ensuring the in-house database is up to date.

• General maintenance of client funds i.e. tenant refunds etc

• Liaising with the treasury team where required

• Completing cash on site audits

• Checking and reviewing invoices before they are passed onto the Service Charge team

• Updating service charge figures on the in-house system

• Logging invoices on the in-house system

• Dealing with and sending queries to landlords

• Dealing with Service Charge queries

• Reconciling payment ledger information as required

• All ad hoc queries as required

• Responsible for managing a property portfolio for a number of clients

• Production of month end financial reports (standard and client specific)

• VAT / CIS / NRL reporting and analysis

• Managing client and property cashflow and funding

• Manage and maintain property Service Charge, including year end audit process, balance sheet reviews and remedial work

• Reconciliation and monitoring of on site cash handling

• Manage and maintain the property / lease database for clients under remit

• Assisting with training and mentoring of team members

The ideal candidate will have:

• A strong knowledge of accounting principles

• Solid background in property management accounts

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Cashflow and forecasting knowledge

• AAT qualified or equivalent, or QBE in property finance
