Cobalt are currently working with a large public sector organisation who are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join them on an initial 6 month basis with the potential to extend.
Your main responsibilities consist of;
Developing, implementing and providing a comprehensive range of Construction Cost information and Quantity Surveying services within a Healthcare setting.
Focus on the provision of clear cost advice in support of the delivery of the Trusts capital programme.
Work in partnership with key stakeholders across the Trust and provide estimated costs and associated project and portfolio cost planning.
Lead responsibility and accountability on all development and construction cost forecasting and support Senior and Executive Management on all development cost matters.
Responsible for the on-going development and evaluation of stakeholder engagement strategies to support the capital delivery programmes across the Trust and the STP.
Provide significant focus on the selection, monitoring and performance of consultants and contractors to ensure value for money, timely delivery of services and rigid contract compliance.
You will need to be;
Educated to Master's Degree level with significant knowledge acquired by previous experience in a similar/relevant role
Industry/Management qualification or evidence of equivalent competence (e.g. RICS)
Provable experience in undertaking the role of the client QS and primary cost advisor to design team professionals on major and minor construction developments across a range or procurement methods
