Senior Town Planner to Principal Planner - Reading

Senior Town Planner to Principal Planner - Reading

£35-50k+ package

Cobalt are proud to be partnered with a highly regarded consultancy in the Reading area, who are keen to find an ambitious and motivated Senior Town Planner to Principal Planner to assist and lead on a healthy pipeline of major projects across London and the home counties.

Ideally a current MRTPI Senior Planner looking to step up to Principal Planner finding your current role or team to not be the right home for you, you will have a chance to work on some of the UK's most exciting upcoming schemes.

Uniquely they do not need someone to immediately get involved in business development as they are turning so much work away, such as mixed-use schemes, major residential projects and urban extensions.

With an experienced and well-established team who live by the "work hard, play hard" mentality, you will feel like you are part of a successful family who are fostering a brilliant place to work and grow your career.

Your role will involve:

  • Providing planning advice and preparing/submitting major planning applications.

  • Manage/deepen existing key relationships.

  • Leading client and design team meetings, and collaborating with multidisciplinary colleagues.

  • Project management and budgetary controls on projects.

  • Supporting more junior members of staff.

Ideally you will:

  • Have over three years in town planning in the UK and have managed some medium-scale schemes at least.

  • Have excellent communication and written skills.

  • Have gained exposure or experience in business development to achieve a successful outcome.

  • Have a 'can do' attitude and be a team player.

This is an unrivalled opportunity to work within a team who are really working on some of the city and region's best projects, and to make a real mark in your career.

Please get in touch with me (Tom) on 07897 074 637 to discuss and understand more about the role. If you do not hear back within two weeks, please assume that your application has been unsuccessful, but we will retain your details on file for future roles.
