Service Charge Accountant
My client are a property company with a mixed use portfolio; this consists of a large residential arm and a smaller arm of commercial units. They are looking for a Service Charge Accountant to join their team across an established and growing portfolio of properties.
This role requires a motivated and intuitive individual, that is keen to use their existing knowledge of Service Charges Accounts and put their communication skills to good use.
Onboarding new properties onto the property management system, ensuring the accounts are accurate
Setting and loading service charge budgets and rent charges alongside the surveyors and property managers, to then be sent out to tenants
Ensuring all relevant invoices are paid and allocated once any queries are resolved
Reconciling discrepancies across accounts on a monthly and quarterly basis
Overseeing the annual service charge budgets and ensuing all balance sheet are correct for the audit process, and answering queries from clients in a quick and efficient manner
Overseeing bank reconciliation, including preparation and reporting
A working knowledge of a property management system such as Qube, MRI, Yardi, Voyager, Tramps or Trace.
The confidence and ability to work both independently and as part of a team to complete tasks in a timely manner
An established understanding of the property sector across the accounting function
