My client are a property company with a mixed use portfolio; this consists of a large residential arm and a smaller arm of commercial units. They are looking for a Service Charge Accountant to join their team across an established and growing portfolio of properties.

This role requires a motivated and intuitive individual, that is keen to use their existing knowledge of Service Charges Accounts and put their communication skills to good use.

Key Responsibilities

• Onboarding new properties onto the property management system, ensuring the accounts are accurate

• Setting and loading service charge budgets and rent charges alongside the surveyors and property managers, to then be sent out to tenants

• Ensuring all relevant invoices are paid and allocated once any queries are resolved

• Reconciling discrepancies across accounts on a monthly and quarterly basis

• Overseeing the annual service charge budgets and ensuing all balance sheet are correct for the audit process, and answering queries from clients in a quick and efficient manner

• Overseeing bank reconciliation, including preparation and reporting

Personal Specification

• A working knowledge of a property management system such as Qube, MRI, Yardi, Voyager, Tramps or Trace.

• The confidence and ability to work both independently and as part of a team to complete tasks in a timely manner

• An established understanding of the property sector across the accounting function
