We are excited to be partnering with a leading name in the planning and development space, to bolster their already strong team in the North West. Sitting with successful and like-minded professionals, alongside their other national offices, which include: London, Birmingham, Leeds and Bristol, you will have the chance to be involved in some major developments across the region within the division's pipeline. In addition to working on these significant schemes, you will be able to bid for work on some of the key frameworks that they are part of.

While this role is to join and work on some of their upcoming projects, your role will also be to drive further revenue and bring in new clients - ideally through existing contacts, to bolster growth and feed more work into the current team and upcoming hires. Whether your workstream is in town centre regeneration, major urban extensions, sheds, beds, retail or infrastructure, they will support whatever contacts you might bring.

Homed in an impressive office in Central Manchester, you and your fellow Directors and team will continue to be a force in the region, with an excellent market brand name behind you.

Your role will include:

  • Being a key player within the Manchester Planning team.

  • Fee generation through existing or new contacts.

  • Business development through networking, bringing your own business and expanding your network and to new pastures, if appropriate.

  • Servicing work for clients, whether that be through development management or strategic planning advisory work, and anything they might need assistance with.

  • Collaborating cross-sector with colleagues within other teams in the office, and dealing with an array of other consultants on projects, externally.

  • Liaising with LPAs and external stakeholders on projects for clients.

  • Managing, mentoring and supporting the team through leading, training, coaching and assisting with junior team members' RTPI APCs.

You will ideally:

  • Have a loyal client following and good knowledge of LPAs in the North West.

  • Have at least eight years in town planning within the UK, with much in consultancy.

  • Have excellent communication and written skills.

  • Be a strong team player but have a competitive nature, too.

You will be rewarded well for joining such a strong name in the industry, and you will find yourself working with some very talented and renowned figures in the market.

Please apply here or give me (Kate) a call to discuss. My client is looking to find the right candidate as soon as possible - so if in doubt, do get in touch. I also have other clients and roles that may be of interest.

If you do not hear anything back within one week, please assume that you have been unsuccessful on this occasion, but I will retain your details for future roles.
