Valuation Surveyor - Nationwide

Cobalt are partnering with two leading UK and Global property consultancies who are looking to grow both their Valuation teams, at various levels of seniority, from Graduates through to Associate Directors.

As part of established valuation teams, the main aim of these roles will be to process valuation instructions, taking an active role in the development of the valuation businesses regionally (dependant on location). Should candidates have experience with CPO work, we would also welcome applicants to apply given that some of these roles would find the CPO experience a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

• Undertake existing valuation mandates and start to build contacts to attract new business

• Seek to take instructions forward as the direct client contact

• Operate with a degree of flexibility and independence within the area, whilst also enjoying the support of your team

• Establish and nurture relationships with clients and other stakeholders in the market.

• Work on a mix of regular mandates as well as loan security and acquisition valuations

• Promote the service line to existing and prospective clients

• Develop a profile in the marketplace through building key client relationships, as well as a range of clients and personal contacts

• Prepare valuation reports, in various formats

Requirements

• Track record and knowledge of undertaking commercial property valuations and valuation appraisals

• Understanding of commercial property valuation, ideally for loan security and balance sheet purposes

• Commercially aware all-rounder with good business acumen and business generation skills

• Demonstrating a clear understanding of client requirements and awareness of market trends

• Ability to represent the brand in a friendly and professional manner

• Familiar with Argus valuation software

• Strong command of written English and ability to write valuation reports with a high degree of accuracy

• MRICS qualified, unless a Graduate
