About the Role
Following a promotion, Cobalt is delighted to be working alongside a leading real estate brand as they seek to hire an Assistant Building Manager for a large scale office development in the City. This is a premium appointment on a premium building - newly refurbished, excellently located, and backed by one of the most respected names in the industry. It's a strong platform for someone stepping up, with room to grow, and support from a Building Manager and wider FM team who value initiative and professionalism. You'll be involved in the full FM cycle: compliance, service delivery, H&S, budget tracking, and tenant liaison.
Key responsibilities will include:

Maintaining the fabric and infrastructure of the building to a consistently high standard

Supporting the Building Manager with service charge budgeting, and financial tracking

Managing planned and reactive works, conducting site inspections, and ensuring timely resolution of maintenance issues

Monitoring compliance actions using Meridian, including H&S audits and fire safety protocols

Liaising regularly with tenants, responding to queries and ensuring a smooth occupier experience

Assisting with management reporting and documentation

Coordinating capital works and refurbishment projects in conjunction with the wider FM and consultancy team
As the successful applicant you'll bring a foundation of FM knowledge either as an Assistant or Coordinator, with an awareness of both hard and soft services. Prior experience in working for a Real Estate brand (client-side, or private practice) would be advantageous as would an IOSH qualification.
