The Role
As Associate Director, you will take a leading role within the residential valuations team, acting as a trusted expert and strategic advisor for both private clients and lenders. This position combines a high level of professional practice with the opportunity to shape local market strategy, mentor junior surveyors, and represent the firm as a senior ambassador within your region. The successful applicant will also work hands on with the business development team.
You will oversee a healthy mix of mentoring surveyors, Red Book mortgage valuations, Level 2 Home Buyer Reports, but mostly gaining exposure to Level 3 building surveys while working closely with internal teams to drive performance and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver RICS-compliant residential valuations and surveys across your designated region
- Ensure delivery of accurate, timely and compliant Red Book reports
- Represent the firm to both private and institutional clients, providing expert advice and fostering trust
- Contribute to the commercial development of the business, identifying opportunities for growth and client engagement
- Mentor and support surveyors at various career stages, contributing to a culture of learning and development
- Collaborate with senior leadership on regional strategy and best practice implementation
Requirements
- MRICS or AssocRICS with VRS registration (MRICS preferred for this senior appointment)
- Extensive experience conducting residential surveys and valuations
- A consultative, client-focused approach with excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A track record of self-management with the commercial acumen to contribute at a strategic level
- An enthusiasm for developing talent and fostering a collaborative team environment
- A full UK driving licence
